The Soup Rules.

I can be quite particular about certain things, especially things to do with food (including cutlery). I’ve been getting a bit of flack from my team at work about being fussy over soups lately, so I agreed to write down the soup rules.*

*These rules are subject to change and I don’t know when or how they’ll change.

How To Make Chicken Soup.

An online conversation between two friends, a long long time ago.

This is a really good stop-motion music video inspired by one of my favourite films, John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’. The track’s by Zombie Zombie, and I’ve added it to Absolute Radio Digital Media’s Halloween Spotify playlist which we’re compiling this week. I’m so excited about Halloween.

Fanzine Foreword.

Yesterday I found the pages of a fanzine a few of my friends and I made about seven years ago. This is one of Jed’s contributions.

Tomorrow I’m making my eye test fun by getting myself a new pair of glasses. I’ll be surprised if my prescription hasn’t changed for the worse. I really hope they have these frames in store, I ♥ them.

This has been a very pigeon-themed week.
On Saturday I was caught taking a photo of the above dead pigeon by a vicar.
Then yesterday, when a friend mentioned Ken Campbell’s name in conversation I told them that I had learned to speak pidgin English off Ken Campbell when he was teaching it to people in Camden, in the basement of a bookshop outside of which was a mural with his face on.
I also told my friends a story my Dad had told me about his friend smuggling a pigeon into a cinema during a showing of The Birds when it was first released in the ’60s. He set it free during one of the swarming scenes and it gave a man in the front row a heart attack.
Then there’s that story everyone’s getting excited over at the moment, about some guy in Africa getting a pigeon to fly around with a USB stick.

These are really small armadillos that actually exist. Someone named them Pink Fairy Armadillos, and I think that’s one of the best things ever.

Irregular Choice have just launched their new website. The homepage is a mash of mad colours and animations which fit really well with the quirky footwear brand’s style. Though it may not work so well from a UI perspective I do think you can allow them some creative freedom, after all the shoes aren’t built for practicality and if they were Irregular Choice wouldn’t be my favourite place to buy shoes. http://www.irregularchoice.com
